FAQ

  • Where does the name florwyn come from?
florwyn is a name rooted in beauty and meaning. “flor” comes from Middle English and Old French origins, meaning flower—a symbol of nature’s quiet resilience, softness, and power. “wyn” is the name of the Anglo-Saxon rune for joy, a character once used to represent bliss, harmony, and radiant well-being. Together, florwyn means floral-joy, a name that reflects our belief in self-care as both ritual and renewal. A moment to soften. A return to beauty that’s as mindful as it is luminous.
  • How sustainable are your ingredients?
We make every effort to sustainably source our ingredients through reputable sources, staying local where possible, or supporting eco-friendly small batch producers. We do not use ingredients that are known to cause deforestation or produce high carbon footprints. Our packaging is meant to be repurposed and reused and we do not use plastics in our final packages, or any synthetic or petrol based ingredients in our final products.
  • Are florwyn’s ingredients organic?
All of our ingredients are 100% natural, and many are organic, especially those sourced from smaller farms and responsible growers. However, at florwyn, transparency is part of our promise, so we won’t label an ingredient “organic” unless we’ve verified its certification ourselves. While some of our suppliers list ingredients as organic, we’re actively working toward formal documentation and full traceability for every botanical we use. Until then, we’ll keep doing what we always do: crafting clean, honest formulas with integrity you can trust, and results your skin can feel.
  • Are florwyn products vegan?
Yes, all florwyn products are 100% vegan. We believe beauty should be rooted in compassion, so you won’t find beeswax, lanolin, milk derivatives, or any animal byproducts in our formulas. Every scrub, créme, candle, and steamer is thoughtfully crafted using plant-based ingredients and naturally derived elements that align with both our ethics and your glow. Because you shouldn’t have to choose between luminous skin and a clear conscience.
  • Why doesn’t florwyn use coconut, palm, or almond oils in your products?
At florwyn, every ingredient we use is chosen with care, for your skin, and for the planet. While coconut, palm, and almond oils are popular in skincare, we’ve made a conscious decision to leave them out of our formulations. Coconut and palm oils, though effective, often raise serious concerns around sustainability, deforestation, and ethical harvesting. Almond oil, meanwhile, requires enormous water resources and poses allergen risks for sensitive individuals. Instead, we craft our formulas with botanicals like jojoba, grapeseed, sunflower, and hemp seed oils, rich in nutrients, gentle on skin, and kinder to the ecosystems we love.
